Job summary

Birch Academy, a 10-month specialized school in New Hampshire, seeks a collaborative Speech-Language Pathologist to join our Special Education team. You will support high school students with diverse needs, focusing on functional communication and independence.

The role involves evaluations, personalized treatment plans, IEP participation, progress monitoring, and cross-team collaboration with teachers and therapists to promote academic growth and social-pragmatic skills.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Valid state SLP license and/or educational certification required.
• CCC-SLP preferred; CF candidates may be considered.
• Experience working with adolescents or neurodiverse learners preferred.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct speech and language evaluations and prepare reports.
• Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans.
• Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team.
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation.
• Support students' communication, social-pragmatic skills, and self-advocacy.
• Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and support staff across settings.
• Consult with staff and partner with families to support student progress.
