Job summary

Goodman Community Center is seeking a High School Program Coordinator to support youth programs and work directly with high school‑aged youth in afterschool and summer programs.

You will build relationships, lead activities, and help teens navigate challenges while following program structure and guidance from managers. Strong communication, organization, and a valid driver’s license are required for daily responsibilities and occasional weekend work.

Qualifications

• Experience working with middle or high school‑aged youth or in youth programs.
• Ability to connect with teenagers while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Willingness to complete required background checks.

Responsibilities

• Build positive relationships with high school‑aged youth.
• Supervise and engage teens during daily programming and field trips.
• Facilitate activities focused on academics, life skills, and college exploration.
• Coach teens in employment and work‑based learning experiences.
• Help youth build social‑emotional skills and navigate conflicts.
• Create a safe, inclusive, welcoming environment for participation.
• Prepare activities, spaces, materials, meals, and field trips as needed.
• Track attendance and complete routine program documentation.
• Transport youth in Goodman vehicles, including a 14‑passenger van.
