The Teen Development Professional at Boys & Girls Clubs of Western Pennsylvania supports teens in academics, social, and emotional growth by coordinating engaging programs with schools and community partners.

This role, based in Shadyside, Pittsburgh, offers afternoon hours with school-year and summer shifts, focusing on safe, inclusive environments, trauma-informed practices, and strong youth-family engagement to help youth build leadership and workforce readiness.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of one year of education or training in social services, education, youth development, or a related field.
• Minimum of one year of experience working with youth in a school, community organization, Boys & Girls Club, or similar setting.

Responsibilities

• Assist with planning, scheduling, and implementation of teen programs and activities.

Location:Shadyside, Pittsburgh, PA
Pay:$17/hour
Schedule:Typically 12:00 PM - 8:00 PM during the school year and 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM during the summer; hours may vary.

Position Summary

The Teen Development Professional supports the planning, coordination, and implementation of programs designed to help teens succeed academically, socially, and emotionally. This role works closely with youth, families, schools, and community partners to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive environment where teens can develop leadership, life, and workforce readiness skills.

Key Responsibilities

Required Clearances

CPR/Pediatric First Aid, Child Abuse Clearance, PA Criminal History, FBI Clearance, NSOR Certificate, TB Test, Mandated Reporter Training, and other required certifications must be obtained upon hire or within established timelines.
