Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida (BGCCF) is seeking a part-time Teen Youth Development Specialist in Eatonville, FL. You will support club leadership to deliver an outcome-driven experience across pillars like academics, character development, health, arts, and sports, while ensuring youth safety and development.

The role requires adaptability, strong communication, and the ability to engage youth in age-appropriate activities with a focus on positive youth development and inclusive

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED is required; an associate's degree is preferred.
• Some experience working or volunteering with youth is preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to plan, develop, and implement high-quality, age-appropriate programs.
• Strong interpersonal skills to motivate and inspire youth.
• Adaptability and willingness to learn and support innovative ideas.
• Proficiency in modeling trauma-informed, strengths-based problem-solving.
• Experience working with diverse cultures and backgrounds.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to establish positive working relationships with staff, volunteers, and external partners.
• Basic data collection and reporting skills.
• CPR and First Aid Certification preferred; willingness to obtain within 90 days.

Responsabilités

• Plan, develop, implement, and evaluate activities in the assigned program area.
• Ensure facilities, equipment & supplies are maintained and report issues.
• Review program supply inventory and request orders promptly.
• Facilitate Club-specific and BGCA core programs as directed by the Supervisor.
• Provide active and engaged presence to promote youth success and safety.
• Affirm positive behavior and deliver coaching conversations when needed.
• Model and teach youth self-confidence and healthy relationships.
• Collect and track attendance, coursework, and behavior data.
• Participate in staff meetings and training events.
• Ensure spaces are set up/cleaned daily and follow safety guidelines.
• Maintain records of activities and report participation figures and achievements.
