Job summary

Merage Jewish Community Center of Orange County seeks a Teen Programs Coordinator to engage Jewish teens year-round through the Merage JCC, BBYO, and community partnerships. You will create meaningful opportunities grounded in Jewish values where teens feel connected, safe, heard, and empowered.

Responsibilities include building relationships with teens and families, coordinating communications and recruitment strategies, and supporting JCC programs such as JCC Maccabi, Young Philanthropists,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree; 1–2 years experience working with teens.
• Familiarity with Jewish values and traditions; inclusive approach.
• Team collaboration; strong organizational/project/problem-solving skills.
• Comfortable recruiting/engaging teens ages 12–17.
• Strong customer service; flexible schedule; LiveScan/CPR/AED/First Aid (or willing to obtain).

Responsibilities

• Communications and community collaboration: build relationships with teens, families, advisors, alumni, partners; develop communications and recruitment strategies; coordinate programs.
• Merage JCC programming: support Maccabi, Young Philanthropists, and JCC Global Teens initiatives as applicable.
• BBYO in OC: serve as City Director and regional staff; coach teen leaders; lead city-wide events; support regional programs.
