Job summary

ESI Fire & Security, Inc. in Channelview, TX, seeks a Mobile Security Trailer technician to build, program, deploy and service MSTs. You must adapt to a fast-paced market, work with minimal supervision, and deliver excellent customer service.

Responsibilities include installing CCTV, solar panels, and batteries; maintaining generators; performing system testing; and documenting work thoroughly. A valid driver’s license and 3+ years of intrusion/cctv experience are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or vocational training required.
• 3+ years of experience required.
• Working knowledge of commercial intrusion systems, CCTV, intercom, networking, and small engine mechanics.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to clear a drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Provide reliable, high-quality customer support.

Position Summary:

This role is not a security guard position. The standard function of the position is to build, program, deploy, and service our Mobile Security Trailers (MSTs). The position requires that the candidate is able to adjust to a fast-paced market where last-minute movements happen often. The candidate will need to be able to work with minimal supervision and provide great customer service.

Duties And Responsibilities

• Install and service CCTV, batteries, solar panels, and solar controls.
• Maintain and service small engine gas powered generators.
• Must have a strong work ethic and ability to work well with other team members.
• Provides reliable, high-quality customer support.
• Performs customer instruction on system operation and functionality.
• Performs system testing and signal verification.
• Maintains the necessary truck stock/inventory (equipment and tools).
• Perform new MST installations, upgrades, and additions.
• Organizes and utilizes technical resources, information, material, and support to ensure efficient execution of assigned tasks.
• Monitors and ensures the progress and completion of assigned tasks.
• Completes and submits all required task-related activities, productivity, and other documentation in a timely manner.
• Must be detail oriented.
• Must complete projects as assigned.
• Must be able to understand what DHCP and Static IPs are.

Minimum Qualifications (Education, Skills & Experience):

• Minimum of High School Diploma/Vocational Training.
• Must have three or more years of experience.
• Must have working knowledge of commercial intrusion systems, CCTV, intercom, networking, and small engine mechanics.
• Must have a working knowledge to full understanding of local/national codes.
• Must have a valid driver's license and be able to clear a drug screening.

Certification/Licensing:

• Must obtain and retain any specific product certifications and/or licenses that are required by national, state and local codes.

• Exposure to outside weather conditions, risk of electrical shock, and harsh work environments.

• Lift, move, and hold up to approximately 50 lbs.
• Must be able to work a full-time, flexible schedule with “on call availability” and must be able to travel on short notice.
• Must be able to drive a motor vehicle (day and evenings) for extended time periods.
