Job summary

Gapex Inc. is seeking a skilled Appliance Repair Technician to travel to customers’ homes and businesses, install new appliances, and diagnose and repair existing units. The ideal candidate is reliable, friendly, and skilled in appliance repairs and HVAC (preferred).

Customer satisfaction is a top priority. This role requires strong troubleshooting, the ability to assess damage, and the capability to communicate clearly about needed repairs and next steps.

Qualifications

• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• 2+ years of experience as an Appliance Repair Technician preferred.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods and lift heavy objects.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Must have basic tools.

Responsibilities

• Respond to client requests for appliance service.
• Evaluate and diagnose home appliance problems.
• Estimate the costs of appliance repair, service, and installation.
• Repair appliances (washers, dryers, ovens, refrigerators, etc.).
• Provide preventative maintenance and warranty services.
• Adhere to manufacturer recommendations.
• Teach homeowners how to operate their appliances.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records.
• Clearly communicate findings, needed repairs, and next steps.
• Take basic photos and notes for each job.
• Maintain professionalism when interacting with tenants and property managers.
