Job summary

Town in San Francisco is looking for its first TechOps Engineer to keep our technology stack reliable, secure, and easy to use. You will own workplace technology across our San Francisco office, from networks to employee devices, access, and vendor relationships.

This hands-on senior role also owns day-to-day compliance and customer trust programs, running recurring controls, coordinating audits, and partnering with engineering, security, and legal on control design and documentation.

Qualifications

• Hands-on technical operations across workplace tech and compliance.
• Experience with SOC 2 or continuous compliance processes preferred.
• Ability to coordinate audits, collect evidence, and drive remediation.

Responsibilities

• Keep the office running: networks, Wi‑Fi, conference rooms, and shared tech.
• Own employee technology lifecycle: procurement, setup, endpoint management, and offboarding.
• Make access reliable and secure: administer Google Workspace, Slack, and identity systems.
• Drive vendors and workplace projects: renewals, procurements, and office moves.
• Run compliance operations: SOC 2 calendar, Vanta, audits, controls, evidence.
