Job summary

NJF Global Holdings Ltd seeks a Technology Operations Engineer to maintain the reliability of trading infrastructure across Linux and Windows platforms. You will monitor production systems, diagnose issues, and collaborate with engineering, trading, and risk teams to keep the platform performing smoothly.

You will also help develop automation and tooling to improve deployments and reduce manual work, while participating in a rotating shift that covers US and Asia trading hours.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience supporting or administering Linux-based production environments.
• Strong knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
• Experience writing Python scripts to automate operational tasks.
• Familiarity with Git and distributed version control.
• Experience with configuration management tools (Salt, Puppet, Chef).
• Exposure to monitoring platforms like Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix, or Nagios.
• Experience with Jira or similar ticketing/workflow systems.
• Knowledge of logging, monitoring, and troubleshooting tools.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.

Our client is a leading technology-driven proprietary trading firm that relies on highly resilient infrastructure to support real-time trading across global financial markets. They are looking to add a Technology Operations Engineer to their operations team, providing an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment where technology plays a critical role in business performance.

This position sits at the intersection of infrastructure, software engineering, and trading operations, offering exposure to mission-critical systems and the opportunity to contribute to both operational excellence and automation initiatives.

The Role

As a Technology Operations Engineer, you will be responsible for maintaining the reliability and availability of the firm's trading infrastructure while supporting day-to-day trading operations. You'll monitor production systems, investigate technical issues, and work closely with engineering, trading, and risk teams to ensure the platform operates efficiently.

Alongside operational responsibilities, you'll help develop tools and automation that improve deployment processes, reduce manual intervention, and enhance overall system reliability.

Please note that this role requires participation in a rotating shift pattern covering both US and Asia trading hours.

Key responsibilities include:

About You

We're looking for someone with a strong technical foundation, a proactive mindset, and a genuine interest in supporting highly available production environments.

You'll ideally have:

• A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical discipline
• 1-3 years of experience supporting or administering Linux-based production environments
• Strong knowledge of both Linux and Windows operating systems
• Experience writing scripts, ideally using Python, to automate operational tasks
• Familiarity with distributed version control systems such as Git
• Experience with configuration management tools including Salt, Puppet, or Chef
• Exposure to infrastructure and application monitoring platforms such as Prometheus, Grafana, Zabbix, or Nagios
• Experience working with ticketing and workflow management systems such as Jira
• Knowledge of logging, monitoring, and troubleshooting tools for production environments
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• A proactive attitude, strong sense of ownership, and commitment to continuous improvement

The following would be advantageous but is not essential:

• Experience supporting low-latency or high-availability production environments
• Exposure to financial services, electronic trading, or other mission-critical systems
• Experience building operational tooling and deployment automation
• Familiarity with incident management and production support best practices
