Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent warehouse management experience.

Responsibilities

• Directs daily workflows of the warehouse floor, including receiving, tagging, unboxing, repair queues and outbound staging.

Primary Purpose

The Technology Warehouse Manager directs and oversees the daily physical operations, personnel, and logistics of the district's Central Technology Warehouse, ensuring the secure receiving, processing, repair, and deployment of all district technology assets for over 50,000 students and staff. This role guarantees that Service Level Agreements (SLAs) for campus deliveries are met, instructional downtime is minimized, and strict chain-of-custody protocols are enforced to protect district investments

Qualifications

• Education/Certification: Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and direct warehouse management experience).
• OSHA 10-Hour or 30-Hour General Industry Certification preferred.
• Valid Texas driver's license (commercial or standard) with an acceptable driving record

Special Knowledge/Skills

• Proven leadership ability to manage both highly skilled technical staff (repair technicians) and seasonal/temporary staff (summer workers).
• Strong understanding of IT Asset Management (ITAM) systems, barcode scanning ecosystems, and inventory database auditing.
• Exceptional crisis-management skills with the ability to pivot physical labor resources instantly to meet sudden district demands

Experience

• Extensive experience in warehouse management, inventory control, and fleet/logistics routing, preferably within an IT or high-value electronics environment.

Major Responsibilities and Duties

Warehouse Floor & Daily Operations

• Directs the daily workflows of the warehouse floor, including receiving freight, asset tagging, unboxing, break/fix repair queues, and outbound staging.
• Enforces strict chain-of-custody protocols and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all hardware entering or leaving the facility to ensure absolute alignment with the IT Asset Management (ITAM) database.
• Manages the physical layout and organization of the warehouse to optimize throughput, ensure secure quarantine of obsolete/damaged gear, and maintain a clean, high-functioning industrial workspace.
• Partners with the Technology Operations Project Manager to execute physical staging and space allocations for large-scale deployments and special events.

Logistics & Campus Delivery Routing

• Designs, optimizes, and oversees daily logistical delivery routes to the district's 70+ campuses.
• Monitors the dispatch of Logistics Delivery Drivers to ensure 24-to-48-hour turnaround times for hot-swap replacement devices, minimizing instructional downtime for students and staff.
• Resolves escalated logistical issues from campus leadership (e.g., missing deliveries, emergency equipment shortages, or receiving bottlenecks).

Personnel Management & Summer Surge

• Supervises, trains, and evaluates the performance of the core physical operations team.
• Orchestrates the large-scale End-of-Year (EOY) summer collection process, which involves shifting the facility from a steady-state maintenance hub into a high-speed, mass-processing assembly line.
• Interviews, hires, and directly manage the daily workflows of 10 to 15 temporary summer workers to execute the high-volume unboxing, cleaning, and triage of returning student devices.
• Enforces Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) standards across the warehouse floor and loading docks, ensuring the safe operation of pallet jacks, liftgates, and box trucks.
• Manages the safe and legal disposal of massive quantities of industrial waste (cardboard, pallet wrap, and wooden pallets) generated by bulk technology purchases.
• Ensures compliance with all district safety protocols regarding the handling and storage of hazardous materials, specifically focusing on swollen or damaged lithium-ion batteries.
