Job summary

Caterpillar seeks a Construction Technology Utilization Representative to lead adoption and utilization of CI technology solutions across the MountainWest District. This field role requires strong technical credibility, deep product knowledge, and the ability to influence dealers and customers through complex discussions that drive measurable productivity, safety, and business outcomes.

Primary work location is Denver, CO. Travel 50% or more within the territory is required.

Role Summary:

As a Construction Technology Utilization Representative, you will lead adoption, activation, and utilization of Caterpillar’s construction technology solutions across the MountainWest District. This customer‑facing field role requires strong technical credibility, deep product knowledge, and the ability to influence dealers and customers through complex discussions that drive measurable productivity, safety, and business outcomes. The CI Technology Portfolio includes solutions such as Cat Grade, Payload, Cat Command, Detect, and VisionLink and other productivity- and safety‑enabled technologies.

What You Will Do (Job Duties):
  • Grow adoption of Caterpillar productivity and safety technology solutions in alignment with Technology Growth targets and future business priorities.
  • Increase VisionLink Productivity and Safety activations, ensuring technology‑enabled machines are activated, retained, and delivering measurable customer value.
  • Drive customer technology utilization through effective onboarding, training, and ongoing support that improves productivity and safety outcomes.
  • Build trusted dealer and customer relationships while challenging the status quo to strengthen adoption, satisfaction, and long‑term retention.

  • Business Development Identifies market opportunities, understands customer segments, and supports growth of Caterpillar technology solutions.
  • Value Selling Connects technology solutions to measurable customer value by quantifying productivity, safety, cost, and business benefits.
Top Candidates Will Have:
  • Customer‑facing experience in the construction industry.
  • Experience growing or supporting new and expanding construction technology portfolios with dealers and customers.
  • Proven ability to work independently, influence without authority, and navigate complex dealer and customer discussions in fast‑paced, ambiguous environments.
  • Strong customer focus with the ability to connect dealer needs, customer outcomes, and Caterpillar strategy.
  • Working knowledge of value selling and the ability to translate technology solutions into measurable productivity, safety, and business benefits.
  • Solid technical aptitude with working knowledge of Caterpillar products, construction applications, and CI technology solutions.
  • Strong leadership presence, organization, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability and willingness to travel 50% or more.
Additional Information:

Primary work location is Denver, Colorado. Domestic relocation assistance is available to Denver, CO only. Travel of 50% or more within the assigned territory is required. A company vehicle and cell phone stipend are provided. The territory includes four Caterpillar dealers

Summary Pay Range:

Summary Pay Range: $112,710.00 - $169,060.00 Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job‑related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
