W. R. Berkley is seeking an experienced Commercial Underwriter to manage a renewal book in the Technology Middle Market segment.

You will evaluate renewal risk, terms and pricing, and provide timely quote-to-bind service while collaborating with producers, underwriters, operations and risk control. You will review applications, pricing history and loss data to assess risk, underwrite within authority, and prepare accurate renewal proposals.

Formación

• 3+ years of commercial underwriting or underwriting support.
• Knowledge of commercial lines underwriting standards, rating and pricing.
• Strong analytical, decision-making and negotiation skills.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and across teams.

Responsabilidades

• Manage an assigned book of renewal business and support profitable results through risk selection, pricing, coverage terms and premium retention.
• Review renewal applications, exposure information and loss history to determine risk acceptability.
• Underwrite within authority level; refer accounts that exceed authority.
• Generate renewal quote proposals, negotiate final terms and support binding and policy issuance.
• Ensure renewals, endorsements and account documentation are processed accurately and on time.
• Maintain underwriting files with analysis, pricing rationale, terms and decisions.
• Partner with producers and internal teams to resolve renewal issues and deliver service commitments.
• Follow underwriting guidelines, regulatory requirements and documentation standards.
• May perform other functions as assigned.
