Job summary

Qualifications

Job Overview

A law firm seeks a mid-level to senior associate with 4-8 years of experience to join the Technology Transactions, Cybersecurity, and Privacy Practice Group in Dallas, TX. The candidate will focus on technology transactions in the health care and life sciences sectors.

Duties

• Draft, review, and negotiate commercial technology agreements, including software and SaaS agreements.
• Handle data licensing and use agreements, cloud services agreements, and professional services agreements.
• Advise on strategic collaboration agreements and digital health products and services.
• Provide guidance on privacy and data security laws applicable to health care and technology.
• Negotiate business associate agreements and data protection provisions.

Requirements

• 4-8 years of relevant experience in technology transactions.
• Experience in health care and life sciences sectors preferred.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to manage transactions independently and collaborate effectively.
• Excellent writing, drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.

Education

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school with strong academic credentials.

Certifications

• Active member in good standing of the Bar of the jurisdiction(s) where admitted to practice.
• Timely admission to the Bar of the state where the hiring office is located required.

Skills

• Knowledge of privacy and data security laws, including HIPAA and state laws.
• Experience with health technology and artificial intelligence matters preferred.
