• Troubleshoot computer systems, hardware, software, email, network and peripheral issues; repair as needed.
• Assist users to resolve equipment and software problems as a technical resource.
• Operate, troubleshoot and install sound systems and audio-visual equipment.
• Maintain and configure district phone and voicemail systems.
• Organize inventory and assignment of computer hardware, software and peripherals by building.

A 12 month, Full Time (8 hours per day), Technology Support Specialist II position is available. The successful candidate will maintain and support computers, peripherals, and networks on a building level and district basis. A College/Technical School degree is required and/or three years experience as a specialist in a computer network environment. Experience supporting end users is preferred. Candidates Must Be Able To

• Install, configure and upgrade operating systems and software, using standard business and administrative packages.
• Install, assemble, configure and inventory computers, monitors, network infrastructure such as switches, access points and servers and peripherals such as printers, scanners and related hardware.
• Pull cables and rewires or direct the rewiring of cables as required for new installations and office reconfiguration.
• Troubleshoot problems with computer systems, including troubleshooting hardware and software, e-mail, network and peripheral equipment problems; make repairs and corrections where required.
• Act as a technical resource in assisting users to resolve problems with equipment and software.
• Operate, troubleshoot and install sound system and audio-visual equipment.
• Maintain and configure district phone and voicemail systems.
• Organize the inventory, storage, handling and assignment of computer hardware, software and peripherals related to assigned buildings.
