Employment Terms:- Starting hourly rate: $20 (meets minimum qualifications of position); $22 (possesses a CompTIAA+ Cerfication).

Position SummaryUnder general supervision, troubleshoots, installs, maintains, and supports related technologies requiring basic technical skills. Reports to the Director of Information Technology
Minimum QualificationsA two-year technical degree preferred.Minimum of three years’ experience in a technology support role, preferably in an educational environment.Must have a current and valid Pennsylvania driver’s license.Passing grade on relevant skills assessment test(s).Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesExcellent customer service and organizational skills.Excellent problem-solving skills with client/server software, PC, Chromebook, and networking.Ability to work efficiently with and provide appropriate training for employees of all classifications.Knowledge of network installation practices.Knowledge of network operating systems.Knowledge of microcomputer software packages used in the business community, school administration, and/or school curriculum.Knowledge of basic School District work policies and guidelines; thorough knowledge of departmental practices and procedures.Ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.Ability to clearly communicate information both verbally and in writing.Ability to exercise judgment as to when to act independently and when to refer situations to an administrator.Ability to read building designs and blueprints as they relate to technology and network requirements.Ability to contribute effectively to the work unit goals, objectives, and activities of the IT department and the District.Ability to follow various processes, procedures, and techniques used in implementing, maintaining, and fine-tuning hardware, software, communications, and databases.Ability to maintain current knowledge of technology and applications.Ability to access, operate and maintain various software applications; ability to read, update and maintain various records and files.Ability to operate basic office equipment (i.e., printers, copy machines, telephone systems, facsimile machines).Ability to collect and maintain building hardware and software application inventory.Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with school personnel, supervisors, students, vendors and/or the general public.Ability to work independently, manage building level projects, and to carry out assignments to completion.Ability to perform duties with a professional and cooperative work ethic.Ability to maintain confidentiality.Ability to work flexible hours as necessary for the efficient operation of the department.Performance Responsibilities (Essential Functions)To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Demonstrates regular and consistent attendance and punctuality.Provides on-site technical support and training to staff, as needed for hardware, software, web applications, and classroom educational technology.Installs, maintains, and updates computer labs, classroom, laptop carts and administrative computers using multiple technologies such as desktop imaging, desktop security software, etc.Works with district staff to more effectively utilize resources and materials which promote the use of technology.Assists with the development and implementation of department inventory records, IT processes and procedures.Provide technical assistance to teachers, students and/or staff for hardware, software, web applications, and peripherals.Maintains inventories of computer and Instructional Technology-related hardware and software.Diagnoses malfunctions and arranges procedures for the maintenance of equipment.Maintains all computer and Instructional Technology repair and maintenance.Evaluates technology and makes recommendations.Assists in implementing the district’s technology initiatives.Complete basic tasks In the Google Admin Console, Active Directory, InTune, and JAMF to support building staff and students.Serves as the Certified Warranty Technician for the District, handling system repair and replacement.Conforms to safety standards as prescribed.Perform related duties consistent with job description and assignment.Perform other duties as assigned.Attachment(s):
