Job summary

Communities In Schools is seeking a Specialist, Technology Support Operations to join the Infrastructure and Operations team in a hybrid role requiring two onsite days weekly in Arlington, VA. The role manages both routine and complex technical issues, coordinates with MSPs, and helps maintain a secure tech environment.

The ideal candidate brings strong problem-solving and communication skills, independent work style, and experience with Zoom, Monday.com, DocuSign, and related tools.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or equivalent experience.
• CompTIA A+ and MCP certifications.
• 6+ years of progressively responsible help desk or technology support experience.
• Strong knowledge of computer systems, hardware, software, and network troubleshooting.
• Experience with ticketing and service management systems.
• Experience supporting Zoom, Monday.com, DocuSign, Adobe Acrobat Pro, form tools, SurveyMonkey.
• Advanced proficiency with Excel and Microsoft Office; data analysis to improve processes.
• Customer-focused and empathetic approach to support.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with teams.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Experience managing system access and security least-privilege.
• Commitment to customer service and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Provide responsive technology support and manage issues through resolution.
• Manage support requests via phone, email, and ticketing systems.
• Diagnose problems and guide users through troubleshooting.
• Prioritize incidents and document tickets with accuracy.
• Install, configure, and audit hardware/software; coordinate updates.
• Communicate maintenance, outages, and known issues clearly.
• Offer guidance on applications, tools, and security best practices.
