Job summary

Sierra Nevada Company, LLC in Herndon, VA is seeking a Director of Technology to shape and execute strategic roadmaps across aerospace and defense programs, guiding a high-performing team to deliver new product development and fast commercialization.

You will partner with senior leaders, customers, and partners, drive innovation, ensure cybersecurity standards, and translate complex tech concepts for executive audiences while traveling as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Engineering, CS or related field.
• 13+ years in technology management in Aerospace/Defense.
• In absence of a degree, 17+ years related experience.
• Advanced knowledge of strategic planning, business development, and roadmaps.
• Experience with exportability and product/service release.
• Strong communication and leadership to engage senior leaders.
• Active Top Secret with SCI Eligibility clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement technology roadmaps aligned with strategy.
• Collaborate with senior leaders to execute business strategies.
• Engage with customers and partners to align roadmaps.
• Lead technology team to achieve product development goals.
• Oversee roadmap execution for fast development and commercialization.
• Provide technical support to win new business.
• Drive innovation and monitor performance of initiatives.
• Travel as required.
