Job summary

Sierra Nevada Corporation is seeking a Director of Technology to provide strategic leadership for the development and execution of technology roadmaps. You will guide cross-functional teams, align roadmaps with business goals, and engage customers and partners to drive growth and successful product commercialization.

The role demands deep aerospace/defense domain knowledge, strong leadership, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts for executives and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Engineering, Computer Science or related field.
• 13+ years of experience in technology management in Aerospace/Defense.
• In absence of a degree, minimum of 17 years related experience.
• Advanced knowledge in strategic planning, business development, and technical roadmaps.
• Experience with exportability, technical determination and release.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement technology roadmaps aligned with business strategies.
• Collaborate with senior leaders to develop business strategies.
• Engage with customers and partners to align roadmaps and foster collaborations.
• Lead and manage a team of technology professionals to achieve product development goals.
• Oversee optimization, implementation and execution of technology roadmaps for smooth product development and commercialization.
• Provide technical support to business development teams to win new business opportunities.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement within the technology team.
• Monitor and report performance of technology initiatives and projects.
