Job summary

Affiliated Engineers, Inc. (AEI) is seeking a Technology Services Project Designer in our Madison office.

You will convert design concepts into detailed ICT layouts for energy-efficient building solutions, collaborating with clients and consultants to advance healthcare, education, and scientific projects. Bring 7+ years’ ICT design experience, expertise with Revit MEP and AutoCAD, and a strong ability to coordinate building systems and budgets.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of experience designing ICT systems in built environment, building technology, or electrical consulting
• Experience leading ICT design for healthcare, higher education, and scientific environments
• Understanding of Revit MEP and AutoCAD capabilities
• Experience with ICT systems and infrastructure budgets and options

Responsibilities

• Convert system design concepts into layouts by interpreting basis of design information and user data
• Collaborate with clients, other consultants, and field surveys to develop detailed ICT layouts
• Coordinate with project teams to ensure integration with building systems
• Support budget and option analyses for ICT infrastructure

In this role, you will use prior experience to convert system design concepts into specific layouts by interpreting information set forth in basis of design as well as information gathered from users, other consultants, field surveys and code research.

Expertise Of Our Most Successful Technology Services Project Designer

• 7+ years’ experience designing Information Communications Technology (ICT) systems in a Built Environment, Building Technology, or Electrical consultant firm: structured cabling, voice/data systems, emergency communications, audio-visual systems, mission critical/data center connectivity, clinical communication systems to name a few.
• Experience in leading the ICT design for projects in Healthcare, Higher Education, and Scientific environments.
• Understanding of in Revit MEP and AutoCAD capabilities.
• Experience with ICT systems and infrastructure, including budgets, capabilities, options.
