Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking a Technology Risk Manager to support IT Asset Management and related governance controls.

This role collaborates with technology leaders to assess risk across portfolios of processes and applications and to enable compliant, well-controlled technology environments. Responsibilities include advising on risk posture, maintaining authoritative inventories, and driving remediation for security gaps.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
• Typically more than 10 years of applicable experience.
• Experience in Technology Risk, IT Operations, Asset Management, Configuration Management, Information Security, or Audit.

Responsibilities

• Influence risk-based outcomes for technology inventory, software governance, and configuration management programs.
• Provide guidance to ensure complete, accurate inventories of technology assets, software, and configuration items.
• Provide guidance on sustainable compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate to drive strategic outcomes for the good of the overall team.
• Consult on strategic initiatives defined by the product area owner; ensure risks are documented, reported, and escalated.
• Provide advisory and implementation support in development of management responses to manage risk.
• Perform risk assessments to evaluate compliance with policies, standards, and procedures.
• Use data analysis to help program leaders develop proactive risk management approaches.
• Support teams in demonstrating evidence of control effectiveness and elevating control gaps.
