Job summary

Ameris Bank is seeking an IT Risk Program Manager to document and monitor the technology ecosystem’s IT controls and risk posture. You’ll support the SOX program, coordination with auditors, and drive remediation plans while partnering with the Director of GRC to mature the program.

You will lead risk assessments, design control matrices, and work with enterprise teams to ensure compliance and continuous improvement in a regulated environment.

Qualifications

• Experience with IT risk management and SOX controls in financial services.
• Strong knowledge of IT general controls and control testing.
• Ability to facilitate cross-functional collaboration and auditing processes.
• Bachelor’s degree required; professional certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Document and monitor IT control environment and remediation plans.
• Design and manage IT SOX control matrix and annual testing.
• Lead IT risk assessment strategy and align with governance frameworks.
• Coordinate between technology teams and internal/external auditors.
