Job summary

RSM US LLP is seeking a Risk Consulting – Technology Risk Summer Internship in McLean, Virginia. You will work with clients across industries, gaining hands-on experience in risk management, IT controls, and assurance activities.

Interns are paired with a Performance Advisor and will engage with business owners and executives, supporting SOX/IT control projects and internal audit processes. This program emphasizes professional growth and teamwork, with real client impact.

Qualifications

• Pursuing at least a BA/BS degree from accredited university.
• Major in Accounting and/or related degrees.
• Major in Information Systems and/or related degrees.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA preferred.
• Travel to assigned client locations may be required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong multi-tasking and project management skills.
• Ability to work as an effective member of a team.
• Must possess a high degree of integrity and professionalism.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on client experience with direct access to business owners and executive management.
• Assist in IT controls testing and documentation for risk engagements.
• Engage with client leadership on strategies to anticipate emerging technology risks.
• Assist in creating internal control documentation to support client engagements.
• Understand clients' needs and expectations, their business and industry, accounting and control systems.
