Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a seasoned technologist to support senior DoD leadership in technology protection. You will guide strategies protecting critical data, interact with top executives, and coordinate across the protection community. A strong background in program management and AI-enabled security is essential.

You will operate in a high-stakes environment, delivering briefs and reports to leadership while guiding cross-functional teams on protection initiatives and lifecycle management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with 5–10 years of experience in a relevant area.
• Active TS/SCI clearance with willingness to submit to a polygraph.
• U.S. Citizenship required to obtain/hold a security clearance.
• Experience in technology protection fields (cybersecurity, research security, SCRM, etc.).
• Experience with DoW or federal government bureaucratic processes.
• Emerging leader with a bias for action and team collaboration.
• Experience with problem framing on complex technical issues.
• Experience with project management processes and tools.
• Experience or interest in AI and programming languages such as Python, R, Ruby, Rust, or Julia.

Responsibilities

• Serve as a key member of a small team supporting a Senior Executive body on technology protection matters.
• Provide expertise and ideas for strategies to protect critical technology data.
• Support high-ranking DoW Executives and interact with senior leaders and support staff.
• Analyze and advise on technology protection matters from research to deployment.
• Coordinate with technology protection representatives across the full lifecycle.
• Compare, analyze, and evaluate program activities and alternatives.
• Prepare reports and briefs on events, requirements, deficiencies, and investments.
• Provide project management and task management expertise to team workflows.
