Job summary

Gibson Electric in Downers Grove, IL seeks a Technology Project Manager to lead and estimate electrical/low-voltage construction projects, support larger programs, and help generate new business opportunities for the technologies division. This exempt role reports to the Executive VP, Technology and is based in our Downers Grove office with on-site project visits.

Ideal candidates have five+ years in BICSI or low-voltage PM, strong knowledge of contracts, ability to read drawings, and experience

Qualifications

• Five years of PM experience in BICSI or low-voltage projects.
• Knowledge of construction contract language.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings.
• Experience with data centers, DAS, fiber and security systems.
• Familiarity with MS Office and estimating software.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and control contractual requirements for assigned projects.
• Manage financials: materials, change orders, cost to complete, income and expenses.
• Ensure timely materials, equipment, and tools delivery.
• Collaborate with clients, architects, engineers and trades to drive critical path.
• Prepare complete project estimates for small jobs.
• Develop and monitor project objectives and performance.
• Present work in progress reports to management.
• Represent the company in project meetings.
• Ensure safety plans and policies are followed.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities for the technology division.
