Job summary

The National Association of State Departments of Agriculture (NASDA) is seeking a new team member who is passionate about American agriculture to join its National Agriculture Statistics Survey (NASS) cooperative agreement team. This role provides administrative support and project management coordination.

Reporting to the Associate Director, NASS Program, you will plan and manage IT projects, serve as a liaison with vendors, and ensure equipment used by 2,000 enumerators nationwide functions

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of relevant, full-time work experience.
• 3+ years in technology project management including remote work.
• 3+ years managing operations or projects in agriculture, data collection, or related government programs.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Suite, Apple devices, and remote work tools (Zoom, Teams).
• Experience with device management systems (Jamf Pro).
• Experience updating websites via CMS (WordPress) and translating technical issues for users.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication; able to collaborate across teams.
• Willingness to travel nationally several times per year.
• Able to pass a federal background check.

Responsibilities

• Establishes and implements project communication plans with status updates.
• Maintains inventory of equipment and purchases new devices as needed.
• Ships and receives equipment as required.
• Identifies and resolves software/hardware issues with Trainers; updates user documentation.
• Tracks and evaluates technology systems for efficiency and data collection support.
• Collaborates with technology vendors to resolve issues.
• Upates NASDA NASS webpages in collaboration with communications team.
• Manages process for creating and archiving Microsoft licenses.
• Assists in implementing and managing new cloud platforms for shipping and financial operations.
• Keeps knowledge of tech innovations and trends up to date.
• Provides feedback to the Associate Director for system efficiency.
• Performs other duties under NASDA-NASS Cooperative Agreement.
