Job summary

CBIA, Connecticut's largest business association, seeks a Policy Director, Technology to lead advocacy on technology and innovation policy, working with officials, members and coalitions to promote growth.

Responsibilities include analyzing legislation, developing positions, delivering testimony, coordinating the CBIA Technology Council, and collaborating across departments to engage the business community.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
• Experience in public policy development or lobbying related to technology and innovation
• Experience with AI, cybersecurity, data privacy, or digital infrastructure is strongly preferred

Responsibilities

• Advocate on technology and innovation policy with officials, CBIA members, coalitions and the media.
• Analyze legislation and develop advocacy strategies.
• Deliver testimony before committees and agencies.
• Develop CBIA’s advocacy agenda and communicate positions.
• Coordinate CBIA Technology Council meetings and policy agendas.
• Collaborate with departments to engage members and state legislators.
• Support membership databases and outreach.
