Job summary

The Consumer Technology Association (CTA) in Arlington, VA, is seeking a Director of Government Affairs (Federal) to lead CTA's federal lobbying efforts, develop relationships with Members of Congress and staff, and drive policy priorities on Capitol Hill. This hybrid role oversees transportation and mobility policy, including autonomous vehicles, and reports to the SVP, Government Affairs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in political science or related field preferred, or commensurate experience.
• Minimum of 6 years of experience in federal government affairs, congressional affairs, or public policy.
• Significant experience working in or with the U.S. Congress.
• Demonstrated experience building and maintaining relationships with Members of Congress and senior congressional staff.
• Experience researching, analyzing, and communicating legislative and regulatory issues.
• Strong understanding of Congress, the legislative process, and the federal political environment.
• Experience with transportation, mobility, autonomous vehicles, or technology policy strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with Members of Congress and congressional staff.
• Lead CTA's federal policy and regulatory work on transportation and mobility, including autonomous vehicles.
• Collaborate across the organization’s policy portfolio to advance CTA's priorities on Capitol Hill.
