Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals, Inc. is seeking a pharmacist informatics leader with strong Epic Willow experience to drive clinical software initiatives across medication management and order entry.

You will lead projects, collaborate with clinicians, and guide governance in a large health system. Required are a Doctorate in Pharmacy, Epic Willow certification, and extensive hospital pharmacy informatics background.

Qualifications

  • Doctorate in Pharmacy required.
  • 2 years in clinical applications or direct Epic build, implementation, and support.
  • 5 years as a hospital pharmacist in a large hospital/IDN.
  • PGY2 Pharmacy Informatics residency completion.
  • Epic Willow Certification within 120 days after hire.
  • RP - Registered Pharmacist - PA license upon hire.

Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical software leadership on small to medium projects.
  • Maintain alignment with user needs, project leaders, and management.
  • Stay current with technology, researching new tools to improve access and efficiency.
  • Coordinate unit, functional, and integration testing activities.
  • Participate in committees providing data and system governance.
  • Troubleshoot problems within area of specialization.
  • Develop and document standards to improve department functions.
  • Implement strategies to meet future information needs.

Job Duties



  • Provides clinical software leadership, in area(s) of specialization, on small to medium size projects as required.

  • Maintains understanding of user, project leader, and management direction and meets regularly to review project priorities and scope

  • Stays abreast of technological advancements. Researches and recommends new tools and alternatives to improve access and efficiency within the organization.

  • Coordinates and participates in process of unit, functional, and integration testing.

  • Participates in team and departmental committees providing data and system governance.

  • Troubleshoots problems utilizing knowledge of their areas(s) of specialization

  • Develops, coordinates conventions, standards, and procedures to improve departmental function

  • Develops and implements strategies and methodologies to meet the future information needs of LVHN.

  • Follows current project management methodology and assures all team members to do the same.


Minimum Qualifications



  • Doctorate Pharmacy

  • 2 years Clinical applications or direct Epic build, implementation, and support. or

  • 5 years Hospital pharmacist in a large hospital/IDN or

  • Completion of a PGY2 Pharmacy Informatics residency

  • Exhibits highly developed self-management skills and ability to deal with multiple and changing priorities.

  • Analytical skills to assess clinical/business problems and develop feasible solutions

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Teamwork focused

  • EPIC Willow Certification - Epic Systems Within 120 Days and

  • RP - Registered Pharmacist - State of Pennsylvania Upon Hire


Physical Demands
Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
