Thomas Jefferson University Hospitals, Inc. seeks an experienced Pharmacist informatics leader to oversee Epic Willow design, build, testing and support within acute care pharmacy operations.

You will provide clinical software leadership for medication management, order entry and decision support, guiding projects and standardizing workflows across the organization. The role requires a Doctorate in Pharmacy, 7 years of clinical applications or Epic experience, and a PGY2 Pharmacy Informatics

Qualifications

• Doctorate of Pharmacy with PA licensure.
• 7 years of clinical applications or direct Epic build, implementation and support.
• 5 years hospital pharmacist experience in a large hospital/IDN.
• Completion of a PGY2 Pharmacy Informatics Residency.
• Exhibits highly developed self-management skills and ability to handle multiple priorities.

Job Duties

• Provides clinical software leadership, in area(s) of specialization, on medium to large size projects as required


• Maintains understanding of user, project leader, and management direction and meets regularly to review project priorites and scope


• Functions as a coach and mentor to Technology Pharmacists to achieve workflow standardization and design across the organization


• Stays abreast of technological advancements. Researches and recommends new tools and alternatives to improve access and efficiency within the organization.


• Coordinates and leads others in process of unit, functional, and integration testing.


• Leads discussion in team and departmental committees providing data and system governance.


• Develops, leads/coordinates conventions, standards, and procedures to improve departmental function.


• Develops and implements strategies and methodologies to meet the future information needs of LVHN.


• Follows current project management methodology and assures all team members to do the same.

Minimum Qualifications

• Doctorate Pharmacy


• 7 years Clinical applications or direct Epic Build, implementation and support


• 5 years Hospital pharmacists in a large hospital/IDN or


• Completion of a PGY2 Pharmacy Informatics Residency


• Exhibits highly developed self-management skills and ability to deal with multiple and changing priorities.


• Analytical skills to assess clinical/business problems and develop feasible solutions.

Physical Demands

Lift and carry 25 lbs. frequent sitting/standing, frequent keyboard use, *patient care providers may be required to perform activities specific to their role including kneeling, bending, squatting and performing CPR.
