Job summary

Euclid Public Library seeks a Technology Department Manager to lead and coordinate the library's electronic environment and supervise the Technology staff.

The role administers the department budget, maintains cybersecurity, and acts as liaison with CLEVNET, ensuring reliable library services and cybersecurity compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum three years of library experience with progressive responsibilities.
• Experience supervising staff and working in the public sector preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance and operation of technology and computer equipment and related software.
• Develop and administer the Technology department budget.

The Technology Manager is responsible for accomplishing the Euclid Public Library’s mission by developing, implementing and coordinating the library’s electronic environment and supervising the Technology staff. Position duties include: overseeing the maintenance and operation of the library’s technology and computer equipment and related software applications; developing and administering department budget; acting as the library’s technology liaison with CLEVNET; maintaining the library’s cybersecurity program; and acting as a member of the library’s management team.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or an equivalent related degree, or a combination of education, training and related work experience. A minimum of three (3) years’ experience in libraries with progressive levels of responsibility. A record of success in supervising and directing the work of others. Experience working in the public sector preferred. Must be able to pass a background check for the Euclid Public Library and the State of Ohio Computer Center.

Work hours: 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday – 8:00 a.m.- 5:00 p.m. Occasional evening and weekend hours may be required.

Starting Salary Rate: $82,374.66
