Job summary

Black Rocket Productions is hiring an after-school technology teacher in Sugar Land, TX. The role is part-time and hourly, with sessions 2:00–6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. Prior teaching or technology experience is preferred and applicants must have reliable transportation to Fort Bend ISD locations.

Pay ranges from $17 to $22 per hour, with paid training provided. This position offers hands-on classroom experience guiding students through coding, Minecraft, Roblox, video editing, and robotics

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Completed 48 college units minimally OR have taken and passed the NCLB Exam or compliant equivalent.
• Experience with technology or teaching preferred.
• Reliable transportation throughout Fort Bend Independent School District with ability to transport approximately 30 lbs of equipment.
• Must be available after school hours (approximately 2:00 - 6:00 PM), daily Monday - Friday.
• Consistent attendance is REQUIRED, substitutes are not available.
• Instructors must be at least 21 years of age and have substantial experience working with children ages 8-14 or technology.
• Experience with children in an educational setting is preferred but not required.
• Comfortable with teacher-to-student ratios of 20:1 for elementary schoolers.
• Strong technology skills with background in 3D modeling, digital arts, coding, game design, or knowledge of Minecraft/Roblox.

Responsibilities

• Lead instructors guide students through a project-based learning curriculum to discover technology skills in coding, Minecraft, Roblox, video editing, game design and more.
• Get in-room teaching experience with excited students.
• Support after-school sessions in a dynamic, interactive setting.

Are you passionate about computer science, video games, coding, Python, Roblox, app design, digital movies, robotics, drones, Minecraft or STEM?
We are seeking enthusiastic, motivated and talented individuals to work as Lead Instructors in our after school programs. Lead instructors guide students through our world class, project based learning curriculum to discover new technology skills in coding, Minecraft, ROBLOX, video editing, game design and more!

• Full school year in 10 week sessions, with options to continue into additional seasons


• Get in-room teaching experience with excited students


• No formal experience required, but teaching experience in some capacity highly preferred
