Axiom-Path in Charlotte, NC, is seeking a technology governance and compliance professional for a one‑year engagement. The role focuses on architecture governance reviews, IT controls, risk workflows, and stakeholder coordination across risk, security, and business lines.

The incumbent will support governance documentation, tracking artifacts, and process materials while collaborating with technology, risk, and security teams to ensure timely, accurate governance outputs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5–7 years of experience in technology delivery, IT governance, risk management, compliance, or a related technology controls role.
  • Strong understanding of IT processes and controls, including vulnerability management, SDLC, IAM, application support, project management, vendor management, and risk escalation.
  • Foundational understanding of application architecture concepts, including databases, servers, cloud hosting, on‑premises environments, IAM, system integration, cybersecurity, technology risk, and compliance controls.
  • Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Excel, Project, Word, PowerPoint, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Experience using JIRA, Confluence, and Power BI or similar project management, collaboration, reporting, or automation tools.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple parallel workstreams and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to present information in a cross‑cultural business environment.
  • Highly analytical, detail‑oriented, proactive, energetic, and discreet when handling confidential information.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate technology architecture governance reviews and help move submissions through required approval channels.
  • Support the preparation, review, tracking, and maintenance of governance documentation, review artifacts, templates, and process materials.
  • Partner with technology, risk, security, and business teams to gather required details, clarify expectations, and track open dependencies.
  • Monitor governance metrics, workload status, review timelines, approvals, exceptions, renewals, and decommissioning activities.
  • Help ensure IT controls, governance checkpoints, and risk‑related workflows are completed accurately and on schedule.
  • Identify opportunities to improve coordination, reporting, documentation, and overall governance process efficiency.
  • Communicate clearly with stakeholders regarding status, next steps, blockers, risks, and expectations.

This is a hybrid opportunity based in Charlotte, NC, supporting a one-year engagement with a structured enterprise technology governance function.
