Qualifications

• Education: Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate; TE endorsement required; VT certification preferred.
• Ability to work on a teaching team and communicate with students effectively through speaking, reading and writing.
• Basic computer skills in Microsoft Office, Internet, Email, and online grading programs.

Responsibilities

• Establishes a classroom environment that fosters student engagement using varied teaching strategies.
• Designs and delivers well-structured lessons aligned with district standards and student needs.
• Maintains regular attendance and planning time while performing duties in a timely manner.
• Monitors and assesses student progress, provides feedback, and adjusts instruction as needed.
• Collaborates with school staff and communicates with parents about student progress.
