Responsibilities

• Instruct students to the best of their ability within the curriculum plan adopted by the Board.
• Participate in committees related to planning, research, curriculum, public relations or other professional activities.
• Supervise and care for school furniture, equipment and property; report abuses.
• Maintain classroom control and communicate with the principal as needed.
• Manage and supervise students and carry out assignments outside the classroom as directed by the principal.
• Open and close school sessions or class schedules punctually as designated by the Board.
• Enforce Board rules and regulations; inform the principal of issues as they arise.
• Observe pupils to identify learning barriers and report findings to the principal.
• Prepare lesson plans, records and reports as required by the principal or central office.
• Cooperate and communicate with parents in the best interests of the students.
