Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university.
• Valid Alabama Teacher's Certificate.
• Must meet ESSA federal and state requirements or be willing to meet them.

Responsibilities

• Utilize technology to plan and provide instruction and facilitate student learning.
• Model appropriate and innovative use of technology for students.
• Facilitate and monitor the integration of technology in the classroom.
• Provide modifications for students with special needs, including exceptional education students and students who have limited English proficiency.
• Select, develop, modify and/or adapt materials and resources which support learning objectives and address students' varying learning styles and backgrounds.
• Establish routines and uses appropriate behavior management procedures.
• Participate in administration of local and state testing as assigned.
• Use formative and summative assessment to monitor student progress; interpret and use data for instructional planning and program evaluation.
• Communicate high learning expectations for all students and establishes learning targets relative to real world experiences.
• Use appropriate techniques and strategies to enhance critical, creative and evaluative thinking.
• Provide instruction on safety procedures and proper handling of materials and equipment.
• Foster student responsibility, social behavior, integrity, cultural diversity, and respect through role modeling.
• Supervise and/or assist with extracurricular and co-curricular activities as assigned.
• Support school improvement initiatives through active participation in school activities, events, and programs.
• Engage in personal professional growth, adhere to professional standards, and demonstrate professional ethics, judgment, and leadership.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding student/school/workplace matters.
