Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Utilize technology to plan and provide instruction and facilitate student learning.
• Model appropriate and innovative use of technology for students.
• Facilitate and monitor the integration of technology in the classroom.
• Provide modifications for students with special needs, including ELL and exceptional education students.
• Select, develop, modify and/or adapt materials and resources which support learning objectives and address learners' varying styles.
• Establish routines and uses appropriate behavior management procedures.
• Participate in administration of local and state testing as assigned.
• Use formative and summative assessment to monitor student progress; interpret data for instructional planning and program evaluation.
• Communicate high learning expectations and establish learning targets related to real-world experiences.
• Use appropriate techniques to enhance critical, creative and evaluative thinking.
• Provide instruction on safety procedures and proper handling of materials and equipment.
• Foster responsible citizenship and respect for diversity through role modelling and activities.
• Supervise and/or assist with extracurricular and co-curricular activities as assigned.
• Support school improvement initiatives through active participation in school activities.
• Engage in personal professional growth and adhere to professional standards and ethics.
