Job summary

CMD Corporation is seeking a Director of Technology in Appleton, WI to provide strategic leadership for CMD’s technology systems, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and business applications. You will lead the technology team, manage MSP and vendors, and align technology initiatives with business needs.

The role emphasizes governance, data reporting (Power BI), and continuous improvement to support operations and growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, MIS, Business Admin, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of five (5) years of progressive information and technology experience, including leading technology operations, systems, infrastructure, cybersecurity, business applications, and technology projects.
• Minimum of three (3) years of leadership experience managing or guiding information and technology staff, vendors, or cross-functional teams.
• Experience in a manufacturing, engineering, or equipment-based environment preferred; familiarity with plant-floor OT, industrial networking, and CAD environments is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of cybersecurity practices, data protection, backup/recovery, and vendor management.

Responsibilities

• Lead technology operations and strategic initiatives aligned with CMD’s goals.
• Oversee cybersecurity, data protection, backups, and incident response.
• Manage MSP relationship, vendor contracts, and technology budgets.
• Drive data governance, reporting (Power BI), and AI initiative governance.
• Guide technology team with coaching, prioritization, and project execution.
• Partner with department leaders to translate business needs into practical tech solutions.
