Technology Director, Enterprise Data Platform
Core Responsibilities
- Deliver and operate enterprise data platform capabilities
- Own the execution, delivery, and operation of core enterprise data platforms, including data lakes, warehouses, ingestion, and transformation
- Ensure platform reliability, scalability, performance, and security to meet enterprise standards and SLAs
- Drive adoption of self-service data capabilities that enable internal data consumers
- Enable data integration and accessibility
- Lead development of robust data integration capabilities including batch and real‑time pipelines (ETL/ELT, streaming, APIs, CDC)
- Provide standardized, reusable frameworks to simplify data ingestion, processing, and access across the organization
- Enable timely and high‑quality data delivery for business‑critical use cases; enable teams to discover, aggregate and consume data for analytics and AI use‑cases
- Drive data governance, quality, and compliance
- Partner with data governance and security teams to ensure adherence to enterprise data policies, standards, and regulatory requirements for data access
- Embed data quality, lineage, and observability practices within platform capabilities
- Promote trusted, well‑governed data assets across the organization
- Lead adoption of modern data engineering tools, technologies, and best practices (e.g., cloud‑native architectures, distributed processing frameworks)
- Improve operational efficiency through automation, monitoring, and optimization of platform services and data ops
- Continuously enhance developer experience and platform usability for your engineering teams, including the use of AI across the software development lifecycle
- Manage operational execution and delivery
- Translate sub‑functional strategy into actionable roadmaps and execution plans
- Deliver against defined objectives for quality, timeliness, and platform performance
- Manage budgets, resources, and priorities to ensure efficient and effective delivery
- Partner cross‑functionally to support business outcomes
- Collaborate with data product, analytics, AI, and business stakeholders to align platform capabilities with evolving needs
- Support delivery teams with scalable and secure data access patterns and tooling
- Ensure platform readiness to support new use cases and growing data volumes
- Lead and develop team members
- Build and lead a high‑performing data platform engineering organization
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and technical excellence
- Ensure strong hiring, onboarding, development, and succession planning practices aligned with the company’s diversity and inclusion commitments
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or related quantitative field, or equivalent experience; Master’s degree beneficial
- 8–10+ years of experience engineering data platforms and services in large‑scale or complex environments
- 5+ years of experience leading engineering teams with data engineering and data platform focus
- Strong expertise in data engineering, cloud data platforms, enterprise data architecture, and distributed data processing technologies
- Experience building and operating enterprise‑grade data infrastructure, including data lakes, warehouses, and streaming platforms
- Demonstrated ability to manage operational execution while supporting broader strategic objectives
- Strong collaboration and stakeholder management skills across technical and business teams
- Experience working within established data strategies and governance frameworks

Compensation and Benefits Package
Lululemon’s compensation offerings are grounded in a pay‑for‑performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is $205,900 – $270,300 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job‑related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program and equity offerings, subject to program eligibility requirements
