PAE is seeking a proactive Technology Engineer for a professional hybrid office environment in Portland, OR. You will bridge concepts to final deliverables, designing telecom, audiovisual, security, and healthcare technology systems with limited guidance from project leads.

We value a strong technical foundation, attention to detail, and the ability to read plans and specs. The role includes site visits, vendor engagement, and contribution to quality management within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• College degree or technical training in a related field.
• 1–2 years of Technology Engineer or equivalent experience.
• Ability to communicate technology concepts clearly.
• Familiarity with building codes and industry standards.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD/Revit and design software.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate to ensure client standards are met and tech systems are integrated into the design.
• Perform AutoCAD/Revit system design and produce deliverables on time.
• Develop understanding of other disciplines and read plans/specifications.
• Apply building codes and industry standards; engage with vendors for product education.
• Conduct site visits, prepare reports, and assist with telecom, audiovisual, security, and healthcare system design.
• Carry out calculations for room sizing, cable raceways, sound levels, and display distances.
• Contribute to quality management and project documentation.
