PAE in Portland is seeking an entry-level Building System Technology Engineer for a hybrid role. Under mentorship you will design and model telecom, audiovisual, security, and healthcare technology systems while using Revit and AutoCAD.

You will develop codified designs, read plans, and support project teams. The position emphasizes curiosity, organization, and clear communication, with a base salary range and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; technical training preferred.
• Typically 2 years CAD/Revit production or related work experience.
• Ability to develop understanding of AutoCAD/Revit.
• Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking.
• Good organization and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop understanding of technology system design and documentation.
• Proficiently use Revit and AutoCAD for design and drafting tasks.
• Read plans and understand system diagrams related to telecom, audiovisual, security, healthcare tech.
• Provide task-based support for design of technology systems.
• Learn building codes and industry standards; assist in code compliance.
• Perform room sizing, cable raceway capacity, sound pressure level and display distance calculations.
