Job summary

PAE seeks a proactive Technology Engineer in a professional hybrid office setting in New York. The role covers telecom, audiovisual, security, and healthcare technology systems, bridging concept to final design with strict client and industry standards.

You will design with AutoCAD/Revit, prepare deliverables, coordinate with multiple disciplines, and ensure quality and regulatory compliance across projects.

Qualifications

• College degree or technical institute training required.
• 1–2 years of Technology Engineer I or equivalent experience.
• Solid knowledge of technology systems design concepts and communication skills.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical ability.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Work with a team to ensure client standards and tech systems are integrated into the design.
• Perform AutoCAD/Revit system design.
• Complete assigned work on time with limited instruction.
• Prepare project deliverables with attention to detail.
• Develop understanding of other disciplines.
• Apply building codes and industry standards.
• Contribute to site visits and prepare reports.
• Assist with design of telecom, audiovisual, security, healthcare and other tech systems.
• Perform room sizing, cable raceway capacity, SPL and display distance calculations.
• Read plans/specifications and edit/write specifications.
• Engage with Audiovisual, Security and Telecom vendors for product education and practices.
• Implement the project quality management plan (QMP).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Technology Engineer

PAE is seeking a proactive and detail‑oriented Technology Engineer to join our team in a professional hybrid office environment in New York. This role is designed for an engineer with a strong technical foundation who is ready to take on more complex design responsibilities across telecom, audiovisual, security, and healthcare technology systems. Working with limited instruction from a project lead, you will bridge the gap between initial concepts and final deliverables, ensuring that innovative technology solutions are seamlessly incorporated into the overall system design while meeting rigorous client and industry standards.

What You’ll Do

• Work within a team environment to ensure client standards are met and technology systems are incorporated into the overall system design.
• Perform AutoCAD/Revit system design.
• Complete assigned work on time with limited instruction from the project lead.
• Prepare project deliverables with attention to detail.
• Develop understanding of other disciplines.
• Apply building codes and technology industry standards.
• Contribute to site visits and prepare reports.
• Assist with the design of telecom, audiovisual, security, healthcare and other technology systems.
• Perform room sizing, cable raceway capacity, sound pressure level, and visual display distance calculations.
• Understand and read plans and specifications, and develop skills to edit/write specifications.
• Engage with Audiovisual, Security and Telecom vendors for product education and industry practices.
• Implement the project quality management plan (QMP).
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What You Bring

• College degree in a relevant discipline; Technical Institute training preferred.
• Minimum of 1–2 years of Technology Engineer I or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of technology systems design concepts with effective communication skills.
• Problem‑solving and analytical ability.
• Strong organization.

• Microsoft Office Suite proficiency.
• AutoCAD/Revit proficiency.

• Base salary range: $89,800 – $109,700 annual.
• Eligible for time‑and‑a‑half overtime pay.
