Job summary

LHH is seeking a Technology Counsel to provide practical, business-oriented legal support across technology transactions, software, SaaS, cloud services, IP, privacy, and emerging technology matters. This role partners with business units and offers exposure to complex and innovative technology-related issues.

This in-office role is based in Sarasota, Florida, with a competitive base salary range of $140,000 to $225,000 plus bonus and equity; relocation assistance is available for qualified

Qualifications

• J.D. and active U.S. bar license required.
• 5+ years of legal experience in a law firm and/or in-house.
• Strong experience negotiating technology and commercial agreements.
• Background in software, SaaS, cloud services, licensing, or related areas.
• Practical business judgment and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate software, SaaS, cloud services, licensing, and other technology-related agreements.
• Counsel business stakeholders on commercial, technology, IP, and privacy matters.
• Partner with product, engineering, procurement, marketing, and business teams on strategic initiatives.
• Advise on legal risks related to technology products, services, and transactions.
• Support technology contracting and business operations across a diverse portfolio.

This role partners closely with business stakeholders across multiple business units and offers significant exposure to complex and innovative technology-related legal issues.

What You'll Do

Compensation and Benefits

This role offers a competitive compensation package with a target base salary range of $140,000 to $225,000 plus bonus and equity. Comprehensive benefits and relocation assistance are available for qualified candidates. This is primarily an in-office role based in Sarasota, Florida.
