Job summary

Talently in Sarasota, FL is seeking a Technology & IP Counsel to join our legal team. This hybrid role supports software, AI, IP, and data privacy matters across product lifecycles with engineering and commercial teams.

You will draft and negotiate technology agreements, advise on regulatory issues, protect IP assets, and shape internal policies; experience at a large firm and in-house collaboration are valued.

Qualifications

• JD with outstanding academic credentials from law school.
• 4+ years of technology law experience, including large law firm.
• Strong background negotiating complex commercial agreements.
• Experience advising on software licensing, SaaS, cloud technologies, and software development.
• Working knowledge of AI, IP, data privacy, and cybersecurity issues.
• Licensed and in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.

Responsibilities

• Advise internal stakeholders on technology, software, AI, privacy, cybersecurity, and intellectual property matters.
• Structure, draft, review, and negotiate commercial and technology agreements.
• Counsel business teams on legal risks associated with emerging technologies and evolving regulatory requirements.
• Partner with engineering, product, and commercial teams throughout the product lifecycle.
• Develop internal policies and best practices related to technology, AI, and intellectual property.
• Support intellectual property strategy, protection, and enforcement initiatives.
• Coordinate with outside counsel on specialized legal matters.

• Licensed and in good standing in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
