Job summary

Bastrop Independent School District seeks a Technology Coordinator to guide IT services, security governance, and strategic projects. You will collaborate with infrastructure leaders on network design, risk management, and enterprise policies, ensuring high availability and data security district-wide.

The role requires leadership of staff, cross-team coordination, and the ability to advance long-term hardware refresh and modernization across Bastrop campuses.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Cyber Security, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or closely related field; 5–7 years enterprise network experience.
• Extreme Networks certifications preferred; CCNA/CCNP/Network+ preferred.
• Experience with Windows, MacOS, Linux servers and virtualization (on-prem and cloud).
• Knowledge of campus and data center networks and security practices.

Responsibilities

• Lead strategic IT governance, project tracking, and multi-project coordination.
• Oversee cybersecurity threat management and incident response.
• Partner with IT Infrastructure leadership on network design and modernization.
• Supervise professional/technical staff within IT Services.
