Job summary

McBride is seeking a qualified professional to support the Technology Advantage program. Responsibilities include identifying EDTs, cataloging existing ones, and delivering supporting artifacts for TA development and IOC/FOC planning.

The role requires a STEM degree, 4 years of relevant experience, knowledge of defense S&T information sources, and English proficiency per STANAG 6001. A NATO clearance or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a nationally recognized university and 4 years post-related experience.
  • Two years' experience in the acquisition, assembly, and interpretation of research & technology information.
  • Knowledge of S&T information sources in nations (e.g., defense laboratories, universities, ministries).
  • Experience interpreting future S&T and EDT information for military adoption and operational challenges.
  • Proficiency in English as defined in STANAG 6001 or equivalent.
  • NATO Secret Security Clearance or national equivalent.

Job Description

Responsibilities:

Contribute to identification of new and cataloging of existing EDTs.

Contribute and provide deliverables to support the further development and productionof the Technology Advantage critical enabler.

Analysis of how TA can support identified WDI Lines of Development. Update of current TA Vision documents to describe a common understanding of TA. Prepare an initial draft Action Plan for the development of TA.

Support the definition of Initial Operating Capability (IOC).

Support the definition of Final Operating Capability (FOC).

Support the creation of a TA community of interest.

This will lead to furtherengagement with internal NATO and external stakeholders.

Support the TA Project Manager and Sponsor through the provision of information andreports on the activities associated with the TA Action Plan and integration of the TAconcept with other associated projects and experimentation activities.

Interact directly with external stakeholders within the scope of this contract.

Requirements

Essential Qualifications:

A minimum requirement of a Bachelor’s degree at a nationally recognized certified.

University in computer science, information and communication technology orclosely related scientific or engineering discipline and 4 years post-relatedexperience.

The lack of a university degree may be compensated by thedemonstration of a candidate’s particular abilities or experience that is/are ofinterest to ACT, that is, at least 6 years extensive and progressive in duties relatedto the function of the post.

Two years' experience in the acquisition, assembly, and interpretation of research& technology information.

Knowledge of S&T information sources in nations, for example defense researchlaboratories, academic institutions, media, and defense ministries. Experience in interpreting future S&T and EDT-related information in order toassess how such technologies may be applied within the military environment andadopted to address current and future operational challenges.

Practical experience with PC office automation products, including the use ofinternet for information research.

Ability to conduct analytical work on EDT documentation, identify adoptionpathways, and develop practical examples of how emerging technologies can beapplied to the conflicts of today and tomorrow.

NATO Secret Security Clearance or National equivalent

Demonstrated proficiency in English as defined in STANAG 6001 (StandardizedLinguistic Profile (SLP) 3333 - Listening, Speaking, Reading, and Writing) orequivalent.
