Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to operate radiology equipment and perform diagnostic procedures as prescribed by physicians, adhering to established standards.

The role requires ARRT registration or eligibility, an ARRT-accredited radiography program, and an associate degree in radiography. BLS within 14 days of hire is expected, with licensure as required by the state.

Qualifications

• Completion of an ARRT-accredited radiography program.
• Current ARRT (R) registration or new graduate awaiting registry.
• Associate degree in a related field.
• State radiologic licensure as required.
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiologic procedures using appropriate technique and safety methods.
• Exercise judgement in selecting and computing settings for each patient.
• Develop and implement a procedure/treatment plan.
• Implements plan following hospital protocols/guidelines.
• Completes documentation to comply with hospital policies.
• Maintains equipment and work areas in a neat, safe condition.
• Participates in performance improvement activities and collects quality data.
• Completes assigned goals.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Description Minimum Required Preferred/Desired Experience as obtained through the completion of a Radiology Technology Program.

Education

Description Minimum Required Preferred/Desired Completion of a formal education program in radiography accredited by a mechanism acceptable to ARRT. Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists with current Registry in Radiography ARRT(R) or new graduate who is waiting to take the registry. Associates degree in related field

Licensure

Description Minimum Required Preferred/Desired ARRT(R); BLS Certification within 14 days of hire. New graduate who will obtain required registry within 120 days of hire. State license as required.
