Job summary

Baptist Memorial Health Care is seeking a Radiologic Technologist to operate radiology equipment and perform routine diagnostic procedures as prescribed by physicians to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of disease.

You will follow established hospital protocols, select appropriate imaging settings, maintain equipment and rooms, document procedures, and participate in quality improvement activities to ensure patient safety and high-quality imaging.

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited radiography program
• ARRT(R) certification or registry in progress
• BLS certification within 14 days of hire and state licensure as required

Responsibilities

• Performs radiologic procedures using appropriate technical and safety methods as requested by a licensed physician.
• Exercise judgement in selecting and computing settings for each patient.
• Develop and implement an appropriate procedure/treatment plan.
• Implements procedure/treatment plan utilizing hospital protocols/guidelines.
• Completes documentation as required by hospital policies and procedures.
• Maintains equipment, procedure/treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition.
• Participates in performance improvement activities and collects quality data.
• Completes assigned goals and performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Experience as obtained through the completion of a Radiology Technology Program.

Minimum Required

• Completion of a formal education program in radiography accredited by a mechanism acceptable to ARRT. Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists with current Registry in Radiography ARRT(R) or new graduate who is waiting to take the registry.

• Demonstrates a thorough understanding of Radiologic principals/theory. Utilizes the most appropriate technique and positioning for optimal procedures/treatments as demonstrated by procedure/treatment results.

• ARRT(R); BLS Certification within 14 days of hire. New graduate who will obtain required registry within 120 days of hire. State license as required.
