Job Summary

Operates radiology equipment and performs routine diagnostic procedures as prescribed by physicians according to established standards and practices to aid in diagnosis and treatment of disease.

Responsibilities

• Performs radiologic procedures using appropriate technical and safety methods as requested by a licensed physician.
• Exercises judgment in selecting and computing settings for each patient.
• Develops an appropriate procedure/treatment plan.
• Implements the plan utilizing established hospital protocols and guidelines.
• Completes documentation to comply with hospital policies.
• Maintains equipment and work areas in a safe, neat condition.
• Participates in performance improvement activities and collects quality data.
• Completes assigned goals and performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements

• Experience through completion of a Radiology Technology Program.

Preferred Qualifications

• Associate's degree in a related field.

Training and Skills

• Understanding of radiologic principles and techniques.
• Ability to follow written and oral instructions, plan, and organize work.

Licensure

• ARRT(R) certification; BLS certification within 14 days of hire; state license as required.
