Job summary

Baptist Memorial Health in Memphis, TN is seeking an MRI Technologist to perform imaging procedures according to radiology practice standards to aid diagnosis and treatment.

You will develop and implement MRI procedure plans, maintain equipment and rooms, and document activities per hospital policies. A focus on patient safety and participation in performance improvement is expected.

Qualifications

• ARRT(R) registered radiologic technologist required; MR certification preferred.
• BLS certification needed within 30 days of hire.
• Basic computer literacy and familiarity with hospital systems.

Responsibilities

• Performs MRI imaging procedures following radiology standards.
• Develops and implements MRI procedure/treatment plans.
• Executes plans using hospital protocols and maintains documentation.
• Maintains MRI equipment and work areas in a safe condition.
• Participates in Performance Improvement activities to ensure standards.
• Completes assigned goals and adheres to policies.

Job Summary

Performs imaging procedures/treatments according to radiology practice standards in order to aid in the diagnosis and/or treatment of disease. Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a thorough understanding of Radiologic principals/theory and utilizes the most appropriate technique and positioning for optimal procedures/treatments, as demonstrated by procedure/treatment results.
• Develops appropriate procedure/treatment plan.
• Implements procedure/treatment plan utilizing established hospital protocols/guidelines.
• Completes documentation as required to comply with hospital policies and procedures.
• Maintains equipment, procedure/treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
• Participates in hospital and departmental Performance Improvement activities to ensure that patient care is consistent with established standards.
• Completes assigned goals.

Specifications

Experience

Minimum Required

• 6 months experience in specialty area as required to meet all MRI competencies at the end of orientation period.

Education

Minimum Required

• Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT ( R) required or Registry in Magnetic Resonance Imaging ARRT(MR) preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire date.
