Job summary

Baptist Memorial Health Care Corporation in Meridian, MS is seeking a Radiologic Technologist specialized in MRI to perform imaging procedures for diagnosis and treatment. You will adhere to radiology practice standards and assist in patient care.

This role requires ARRT registration, BLS within 30 days of hire, and at least 6 months MRI experience or orientation completion. New graduates may obtain the required registry within 60 days, maintaining safety and quality throughout.

Qualifications

• 6 months experience in MRI or related specialty during orientation
• ARRT(R) registration required; ARRT(MR) preferred
• BLS certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire

Responsibilities

• Performs imaging procedures according to radiology practice standards
• Selects appropriate technique and positioning to optimize results
• Develops and implements procedure/treatment plans per hospital protocols
• Completes required documentation to comply with policies
• Maintains equipment and work areas in a safe condition
• Participates in Performance Improvement activities to ensure quality
• Completes assigned goals

Overview

Job Summary

Performs imaging procedures/treatments according to radiology practice standards in order to aid in the diagnosis and/or treatment of disease. Performs other duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities

• Demonstrates a thorough understanding of Radiologic principals/theory and utilizes the most appropriate technique and positioning for optimal procedures/treatments, as demonstrated by procedure/treatment results.
• Develops appropriate procedure/treatment plan.
• Implements procedure/treatment plan utilizing established hospital protocols/guidelines.
• Completes documentation as required to comply with hospital policies and procedures.
• Maintains equipment, procedure/treatment rooms, and work areas in a neat and safe condition to ensure the safety of patients and staff.
• Participates in hospital and departmental Performance Improvement activities to ensure that patient care is consistent with established standards.
• Completes assigned goals.

Experience

6 months experience in specialty area as required to meet all MRI competencies at the end of orientation period.

Education

Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists ARRT ( R) required. Registry in Magnetic Resonance Imaging ARRT(MR) preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire date.
